The exceptional 2023 Chappellet Chenin Blanc

When I became the wine buyer for my family’s market, The Asbury Market in San Francisco, I was excited to taste the 1973 Chappellet Chenin Blanc. As a dry wine, It was a departure from the candied, sweet examples in the marketplace. Tasted in 1974 or 1975, this wine occupied my psyche for decades. Recently, I enjoyed the exceptional 2023 Chappellet CB. I would put it up with some of the world’s top white wines.
